Security Statement

Our Commitment to You
Exgis understands that your trust in us depends on how well we keep your personal and account information secure.

Exgis utilizes industry accepted security practices that are appropriate for the way you choose to do business with us. For your protection, no matter which channel you choose, we verify you are who you say you are before granting you access to your accounts. Additionally, our systems use firewalls and encryption to protect information about you.

Security Is Everyone’s Responsibility
At Exgis, we take the safeguarding of your information seriously. In fact, we believe keeping information about you safe and secure is every employee's responsibility. We also encourage you, the customer, to take steps in protecting information about you.

What We Do For You

Protect your Information
Information security and protecting your privacy are fundamental to the way we do business at Exgis. All employees at Exgis are aware of the procedures that must be taken to safeguard customer information. It is specified in our employment agreements and confirmed on a regular basis.

When you sign up for Exgis Enterprise with your Email address, we assign you with a unique password. This password can and should be modified by you on a regular basis. You must enter your unique Email and password combination to gain access to the Exgis Enterprise system, either from the Internet or your BlackBerry Wireless device.

Security Controls and Browser Requirements
We understand the security of personal and account information about you is important to you. We utilize some of the most advanced technology for Internet security, employing a number of controls described below. These controls allow us to properly authenticate your identity when you access our services and protect information about you as it travels over the Internet between us and your access device (such as PC or wireless device).

This site requires the use of secure browsers to protect you while you access our online services. Secure browsers allow you to communicate with our Web site in a protected session by encrypting information that flows between you and the site. For greater security when viewing your account information over the Internet, we require that you use a browser with 128-bit encryption.

To provide additional protection, a timeout feature is used on selected parts of our Web site. This feature automatically logs you out of your account after an extended period of time. Re-establishing and authenticating your credentials for your online session helps to reduce unauthorized access to your accounts with us via the Internet.

Monitor our Computer Systems
Responsibility for ensuring that we have thorough security standards to protect our systems and your information against unauthorized access and use rests with our Information Technology Team. This team keeps up-to-date with ever-evolving security issues, tools and methodologies. They ensure that appropriate security controls are built into Exgis’ procedures, systems and software.

Constantly monitoring maintains the quality of our systems proactively identifies unusual account activity and provides around-the-clock peace of mind.

Use Secure Firewalls and Cookies
Exgis uses a secure server environment with firewalls and up to date security technology to protect our computer systems and your information. Firewalls as well as other technology and monitoring prevent interference or access by outside intruders. All computers in our hosting environments are monitored on a consistent basis to ensure your data is kept safe from viruses and intruders.

We use cookies as an additional security feature. There are two common types of cookies that we use, "session cookies" and "persistent cookies".

Session cookies store information only for the length of time that you are connected to a website - they are not written onto your hard drive. Once you leave the website, the originator of the cookie no longer has the information that was contained on it. For example, when you login to Exgis Enterprise and are authenticated through your email and password, a cookie will store the identification number of your browser. Throughout your session, the session cookie acts as a type of digital signature to identify your current session to the Web Server.

The information stored in "persistent cookies" is written onto your hard drive and remains there until the expiry date of the cookie. Exgis uses persistent cookies to store non-sensitive information that you are aware of and have agreed to. For example, if you choose the option on our login screen to remember your email id, the system will remember and automatically input your email each time you use the service.

Here Is How You Can Help

While we at Exgis continue to provide security controls to protect information about you, we believe it is extremely important for you to share in the responsibility for security. The following are some ways you can protect yourself and your accounts:

• Never share your access information with anyone.

• We recommend you change your password on a regular basis. If you think your password has been compromised, change it and contact us immediately.

• Consider using a personal firewall to prevent hackers from invading your personal computer, especially if you are using DSL or a cable modem to access the Internet.

• Install virus protection software and scan all downloaded software, as well as all diskettes, before use. Also, delete emails with attachments from unknown sources.

• When you are done with your session, always click on the Sign Out button on the Web site to exit the application and prevent further access to your account. When using a public PC (such as in a library or school), also close the browser when you are finished.

• On your BlackBerry be sure to set a password with an appropriate time-out period to ensure the device is locked should you misplace your BlackBerry.
